At SpaCe, one of our central themes is education and learning. As space-related activities become increasingly important for addressing the grand challenges our societies are facing, understanding their possibilities and limitations is vital. Most disciplines of research, from archaeology to zoology, benefit from or are influenced by space-related activities. Therefore, it is crucial to comprehend the implications of our endeavors in space. With recent developments in the space sector, having a solid understanding of the basics of how "outer space" can and is being utilized becomes even more essential.
Beginning spring 2025, we will teach a multidisciplinary 10 ECTS Master class. 'Space Missions and Space Technology' is open to students from Aarhus University regardless of their study direction. The course covers various fundamental aspects, including orbital dynamics and the principles of spacecraft system design. It also explains different remote sensing techniques and provides guidance on accessing and interpreting remote sensing data. Additionally, we will touch upon some business aspects of space-related activities.
