Darker Sky is an activity related to the European Union via Interregnum North Sea.
The aim for Darker Sky is to help reduce light pollution in all our environments for the benefit of people and our surrounding nature.
Aarhus Space Centre is involved in Darker Sky mainly because of our interest in the astronomical aspects of working towards reductions in light pollution, and we act as consultants assisting the various Danish groups working locally to further this aim. At present we are in contact with the certified Dark Sky parks on Møn and Nyord, Mandø, Bulbjerg and Anholt and various other groups on Endelave, Læsø, Samsø and Bornholm plus individuals working professionally or out of private interest with relations to outdoor lighting.
