Are we alone in the universe?

A group of astronomers recently claimed to have detected possible signs of life on an exoplanet outside our solar system — K2-18b.

Join us at Tir na nÓg as postdoc Marcus Marcussen brings you up to speed on how we detect exoplanets. Then, former assistant professor Carolina von Essen will shed light on how we might detect life on a distant world.
