This week’s Astronomy on Tap takes us all the way to Australia, from the comfort of Tir na nÓg, for a live demonstration of the remote-controlled telescope for education (FUT).
We’ll see how students in Denmark can operate a night-time telescope in Australia during the daytime, and explore citizen science projects where anyone — including you! — can contribute to our understanding of the Universe.
Join Karsten Frank Brogaard, Associate Professor at Aarhus University, specialising in Astronomy. Karsten researches stars by combining observations across different areas of astronomy and is also responsible for scientific outreach in astronomy at all levels of education.
