The TASC10/KASC17 workshop will bring together the asteroseismology community at a pivotal moment for the field. Over the past 15 years, the Kepler and TESS missions have revolutionised our understanding of stellar interiors, enabling precise measurements of internal rotation, mixing processes, and oscillation properties across the Hertzsprung–Russell diagram.
The meeting marks forty years since a landmark asteroseismology workshop held in Aarhus in 1986, while also looking ahead to the forthcoming PLATO mission, scheduled for launch in late 2026. PLATO and other new facilities will dramatically expand the scope of asteroseismic studies and present new opportunities—and challenges—for stellar and expo
