Webinars on ESA's 2040 Strategy: Shaping the Future of European Space Exploration
ESA has just released a new strategy that will guide the prioritization and content of the programs to be presented at ESA's ministerial meeting on November 26-27, 2025. In relations to this The Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science (UFS) has asked ESA to present the strategy in four webinars tailored to the Danish space ecosystem.
The Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science (UFS) and the European Space Agency (ESA) invite all interested parties in ESA programs to participate in one or more of the webinars. The first webinar will provide a general overview, and Andreas Mogensen will also speak about inspiring Europe.
During the webinars, ESA will present its new 2040 strategy: Shaping the Future of European Space Exploration. The webinars will focus on the strategy's goals, the main elements of the proposed ESA programs, and how ESA will support member states in achieving these goals.
The webinars are tailored to Danish stakeholders, including industry, start-ups, universities, national institutions, public authorities, as well as the general public. The aim is to increase awareness of the content of ESA’s programs, which will be presented at the ministerial meeting in November, with a particular focus on the opportunities the programs offer.
The webinars will cover all five strategic goals of the strategy:
- Boost Growth and Competitiveness and Inspire Europe (Tuesday 6th May 2025)
- Protect our Planet and Climate (Thursday 8th May 2025)
- Explore and Discover (Monday 12th May 2025)
- Strengthen European Autonomy and Resilience (Thursday 15th May 2025)
The webinars will take place from 15:00 to 16:30, with ESA experts presenting the programs, focusing particularly on the opportunities they offer to Danish stakeholders, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session and discussion. The webinars will be in English.
