Outlined by the Ministry of Higher Education and Innovation in their call “On the Lookout for New Ørsted Missions” (April 2025), the initiative “Framework for National Space Missions” marks the beginning of a new era for Danish space research and innovation.

With this initiative, the aim is to create a process in which all national stakeholders with interest or expertise within space can come together to shape the framework for new national space missions—through shared knowledge, dialogue, and collaboration across sectors.

This process will run throughout 2025, during which all stakeholders will be invited to participate in a variety of activities, including workshops, interviews, and surveys.
